PROJECTS: CIVIC + URBAN PROJECTS: Mountain View High School

The design of this plaza features three custom benches and precise concrete patterns which extend the architectural lines into the landscape. An entry plaza with an outdoor classroom harmonizes the existing school with the new addition. The form of the benches evokes the geometric patterns of the surrounding agricultural region. The edges along the existing building were cleaned up with crushed gravel to absorb the stormwater runoff.
