Goss Corner
Goss Corner is located in the heart of Denver’s Lower Highlands neighborhood, anchoring a prominent intersection. The site plan features a paseo that leads into a courtyard which is the centerpiece of the community. To compliment the modern architecture, the courtyard features a grove of Quaking Aspen set into pavers with custom linear lighting and a series of rain gardens. These gardens carry the roof water through a cleansing system into a large detainment basin which is set beneath the permeable parking. The complicated drainage and structural design of the building required careful detailing in order to allow for the lush, meditative courtyard space. The streetscape and patios were detailed using modern linear pavers and bands of Dogwood plantings which change from deep green to bright red stems from summer to winter.
